Crazy good week!

I was prepared at the beginning of the week for it to be crazy and maybe a little too crazy, but looking back we had a great week.
We were on seizure watch right off the bat because Reuben got sick again but no such thing!  I am not sure if it was all the attention I paid to his electrolytes, and I am not sure that we will ever know if that is exactly what trips his seizure threshold.  That is what we watched, and we had a positive outcome.   Hooray!
I have been on a declutter kick the last two weeks, and we made a hasty decision to have a garage sale on Thursday and Friday.  It was a success!  I have always thought that you make about the same if you price high and sell less or price low and sale more.  The only difference is how much you have left after the garage sale.  I priced low and we nearly sold out!  Having participated in garage sales before it is always amazing what sales and what doesn't.  Jordan's clothes were hot, and I got rid of an entire box of CDs some of them over 10 years old!  Crazy!  I hope to follow up my decluttering with a good cleaning now!  I smile just thinking about how good that will feel!
We had a weekend that was all ours, and so Jordan started his bed making project!  (I sold our old one at the garage sale!)  He had already repainted our dressers and we got nightstands off Craigslist.  While we have now visited all three home improvement stores this weekend, the bed is almost ready for paint, and I think that we have a window treatment plan!
We also got to hang out with friends this weekend.  Friday we had pizza at a friends' house while they guys put down a new dining room floor, and Saturday night was girls' night for my birthday.  We went to Centro downtown and as always had a great time.
This week looks less busy.  A baby appointment and picnic to meet Jonah's teachers.  Sounds good to me!

A Very Late Posting of 1st Day of Enrichment Class!

Yep, enrichment classes started over a month ago and I am just now posting the "First Day of Class" photos.  This year we cut back to just one day.  It is lovely.  Jonah and Audrey are both taking art and science.  Jonah is also taking drama.  I am really curious to see how he does with that because he has been really excited about it.  The back packs are completely unnecessary, but a must for the back to class picture!     Getting Ready to head out!   Miss Poser as she gets ready to go inside!    Way too cool for this   Me too Mom!

A little extra help

I had heard that age 8 was when a mom feels like a child can really help out around the house.  I must have an exceptional child because Jonah has become very helpful at 7 1/2!  :)    I kept asking him to load the washing machine, and then one day I heard it running!  He took it upon himself to start the machine as well.  A couple of quick lessons and he was good to go.  We are working on load size.  At first two shirts constituted a load.  Then after explaining water waste he tried washing every piece of cloth in the house at once.  It was amazing to me how helpful the extra pair of hands has been the last couple weeks.  I am loving that this is still an exciting new chore that he is eager to help with!     I taught him how to make scrambled eggs, and Jonah now thinks he is the scrambled egg master. He would making them twice a day if I would let him.  Egg consumption in our home was high, a...
