A Very Late Posting of 1st Day of Enrichment Class!

Yep, enrichment classes started over a month ago and I am just now posting the "First Day of Class" photos.  This year we cut back to just one day.  It is lovely.  Jonah and Audrey are both taking art and science.  Jonah is also taking drama.  I am really curious to see how he does with that because he has been really excited about it.  The back packs are completely unnecessary, but a must for the back to class picture!     Getting Ready to head out!   Miss Poser as she gets ready to go inside!    Way too cool for this   Me too Mom!

Healthy Kiddos

We took a trip to the doctor today for Reuben's 3 year and Elise's 15 month.  The other day we drove past the doctor's office and Jonah said, "Remember when we used to go to the doctor there?"  We have been blessed with really healthy kids. Sweet Reuben...he is thinning out.  He was 37 inches high and 37 lbs.  Still my little square, he grew 4 pounds and 4 inches!  That put him 33% for height and 88% for weight.  That is down from 99% last year. I am so very curious to see where Audrey is next month at her 5 year. The rice milk is working for Elise, and she is inching back up the charts.  She weighed 21 lbs 14 ounces and was 31 3/4 inches.  She was 60% for weight and 87% for height.  That is up 2 1/2 lbs and 5 inches in 3 months...is that possible?  Jordan and I have thought that she was getting bigger, but that was surprising!  I really wanted to talk through the "if she has a seizure" scenario with the doctor.  I...

Elise's Nine Month Check Up

She is supposed to be asleep, but she must have missed that memo. And then came the crash! Jonah was playing photographer again! Elise will be 9 months on Sunday so she had a little check up today.  18 lbs 11 ounces puts her right at 50% on the charts.  She is a little longer (70%) at 28 inches.  As always I had to look up my others.  Audrey was 18-8 and 28 inches.  Wow that is similar.  They boys were 3 and 5 pounds bigger.  (I will let you guess which boy was which!) 9 month shots are not typical, but Elise didn't have her 2 month (our decision) or 6 month (she had a fever from a virus) so she is "behind."  She carried a fever when she got her 4 month so I asked if we could just do one this time and got a "YES!"  A huge thing in the DSM area where some of us feel that our parental rights are being compromised and the individual needs of our babies ignored for the sake of administration. (Yep, this whole thing gets me...

A few pics for Gramma in MI!

Out of the their 4 front teeth they both just have one!  Audrey at her Amanda's wedding.  We are already counting down to her Shanna's next weekend!  (She thinks they are all about her!) Sorry nothing too exciting going on with Reuben right now, but I couldn't leave him out!

Family Pics

I wanted to show these to my mom and this was faster than sending a bunch of emails! My Girls... and my boys! He would only smile if he was hugging me! 4 years old 5 months (the flower in her headband looks like the ones in the bushes!) You decide do the boys look like their dad... Or thier Papa?

Growing Up

It happened to me during pregnancy two and three so I am not surprised that it has happened during the fourth as well!  I get a little sentimental about my babies growing up and not being babies anymore.  There were more than a few extra kisses, hugs and "I love you"s this week.  If I keep laying the sugar on this thick until the baby comes I think that the kids are going to be sick!  I have always liked putting my babies to bed.  We have a sweet little routine, and this week I rocked and rocked Reuben.  We both loved it.  I am however trying to make him walk and hold my hand a little more often.  The bigger each of us gets the harder it is getting for me to carry him.  Not only is it getting a little awkward, but it is getting a little painful too!  I babysat a two month old this week, and it made me glad that I four months before baby.  I look back four months at how much more he can do and say and it makes me a little less ...

Vos, Party of 6

I have been thinking about what to do with this blog post for a while now.  I have had various ideas what to say and how to say it.  I think that the best way is to do a FAQ list.  Here is everything that you may (and more likely than not may not) want to know. There is a couple of dangers in doing this specific post.  1)I don't want it to come across that I do not want to talk about the baby since I am writing about it.  I just was afraid that much of the conversation would get lost in cyberspace since we were announcing electronically.  2) I can be a little sarcastic at times and people might "hear" bitterness in some of my answers, but there is none there!  I did my best to proof this so that I do not offend anyone.  When are you due?   My EDD is December 29th.  Jordan thinks this is perfect as long as I have the baby by the 31st.  That way he gets the tax credit this year and gets to pay for it with Flex next y...

Three Kids and a Two Kids World

For a while now I have said I should write down the crazy things people say to me when I am out with the kids.  I hope to come back and laugh at this someday, but I am constantly annoyed at the stupid things people say to me.  I don't remember the comments being that bad when it was just Jonah and Audrey, but since we added Reuben it has become clear that we crossed a line in this world of "two kids and no more."  It was first conveyed to me that I was crossing the line when I was pregnant with Reuben.  I was sitting at the doctor's office talking with a lady in her 50s.  When she realized I was pregnant and already had two she said.  "I am going to tell you what I told my daughter.  You need a television in the bedroom."  I did not have a snappy come back but found her comment inappropriate. "Wow! You have your hands full!"  I should count how many times that I hear that phrase alone.  If people are trying to be polite the...
